Mack Road ReImagine Foundation Logo

The ReIMAGINE Mack Road Foundation (RMRF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created in late 2013.

The ReIMAGINE Mack Road Foundation serves as the non-profit partner to Mack Road Partnership (MRP) and works closely with the Partnership. However, it is a separate entity funded through grants and corporate sponsors. ReImagine Mack Road Foundation was implemented in 2013 as part of a social impact and violence reduction strategy to assist children, youth, and families living on and around the Mack Road business corridor. ReImagine Mack Road Foundation engages as a community development partner and advocate to implement initiatives addressing access to healthy food, academic support, barriers to employment, community health, and neighborhood safety. The mission of the ReIMAGINE Mack Road Foundation is to:

ReIMAGINE a healthier more vibrant place to live, shop and thrive.

ReSHAPE the quality of life for those who are in need.

ReVITALIZE an under-served and under-resourced part of Sacramento.

ReINVENT the way our community thinks about food, job creation and a better future for our youth and young adults.

Since its launch, the RMRF has been dedicated to community health, food access, business and job growth, and creating a sustainable environment for community engagement. In our first year, the RMRF raised $260,000 and launched a series of programs designed to create community and hope in an area long absent of both. These programs included the renovation of a vacant structure and a 3-acre parcel into a community center.

Our efforts were successful and in the years following the launch, we have been able to fund and grow all of the programs and add more!  Our outdoor community center space, once an empty lot, now houses 2 regulation-sized basketball courts, a playground, an AYSO soccer pitch, an obstacle course, plenty of outdoor shaded seating, and a garage dance studio.  Our indoor programming continues to grow and we now offer hip-hop dance classes, homework assistance, bicycle maintenance clinics, and much more!
